Egypt beat Senegal in World Cup qualifiers

Egypt’s national team won a difficult 1-0 victory over Senegal in the match that brought the two teams together this evening at Cairo International Stadium in the first leg of the final stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Egypt’s only goal came in the fourth minute, from the start of the match, after Amr Al-Sulayya passed a longitudinal ball to Mohamed Salah, behind the defenders, to be paid by Salah, powerful hitting the crossbar, and rebounding to collide with Senegal defender Salio Sis and enter the net. The match went on to score a tie, but the Pharaohs’ defense was solid in front of their many chances

With this victory, the return match between Egypt and Senegal is expected to be held on Tuesday, March 29th, in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, in order to resolve the qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar
